Really? Is Staging really needed?

This is a question that we often get from sellers about to put their home on the market. We know that sellers are hesitant to put money into a house that they are about to sell, so we took the time to interview a stager that we use regularly to get her advice.

We believe that staging makes a HUGE difference. It is often difficult for buyers to visualize the use and size of a room without the furniture as a reference. Will this room be too small for my king sized bed? What would I use this extra room off of the kitchen for?

A staging company uses the latest styles to enhance the features of your house. For example, you might have amazing built-in bookcases around your fireplace. Stagers often put a few art objects and a painting to show the buyer how to style the bookcase and fireplace and add personality to the space.

Hope this was helpful or at least interesting. If you are interested in staging, give us a call. We work with many amazing stagers that will be able to help you for any type of budget.

P.S Staging does help, but we realize that photography is just as important. Our before picture camera skills definitely didn't showcase the house. We will do a followup post about the importance of photography.
