LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

RESIDENTS ARE DRAWN TO THE CENTRAL LOCATION, AFFORDABILITY AND CONVENIENCE.

Located at the crossroads of Hwy 40 and the 170, Brentwood is just south of the county seat in Clayton and is is roughly bounded by Hwy 40 to the north, Hanley Rd to the east, Manchester Rd to the south and McKnight Rd to the west. Covering only 1.96 square miles Brentwood is small but mighty.

A famous streetcar line known as “The Dinky” was built in 1890 between St. Louis City and what is now Brentwood. It was later expanded to the southwestern region near Kirkwood. This, along with the Missouri Pacific rail service and the automobile boom, made the area a hit for families in the early 1900.

Since that time Brentwood has become a mecca for young professionals entering the housing market and looking for agreeable accommodations. Brentwood offers many diverse living situations from upscale apartments to affordable condominiums to beautiful single-family residences and neighborhoods. Combined with the convenience and walkability to the metro-link, several grocery stores and all of the major retailers, living is easy in Brentwood!

Just across McKnight Rd is the large Tilles Park operated by St. Louis County but very accessible to Brentwood residents.

Brentwood itself maintains eight parks with a variety of facilities for the public to enjoy at no cost or with a minimal fee. Brentwood Recreation Complex and Ice Arena provides meeting space, programs and year-round skating opportunities.

The City of Brentwood collaborates with the cities of Richmond Heights and Maplewood to offer all residents of the three cities access to more recreational opportunities. The three cities publish the PARC Activity Guide three times a year showcasing all programs offered at the communities' recreation facilities. Residents of these cities can utilize any of the facilities or programs at the resident rates.
